Taking ballet-inspired movement beyond the studio

PORT DE BRAS

The Challenge

When Port de Bras came to me, it was an idea with ambition: a luxury, eco-conscious activewear brand inspired by the discipline and elegance of ballet. The challenge wasn't simply entering a crowded category. It was creating a brand with a distinct point of view in a space where many brands already looked and sounded the same. The opportunity was to move beyond activewear and create a world around a different way of thinking about movement.

The Insight

Ballet is not only about performance. It's about control, intention, strength, and the relationship between the body and movement. That became the foundation of the brand. Port de Bras was positioned around the idea that movement could be powerful and graceful at the same time—where discipline becomes a form of self-expression.

Building the brand

01
Brand Positioning

I developed the brand strategy and narrative from the ground up, defining the territory Port de Bras could uniquely own.

The positioning created a clear foundation across product, identity, and communication—connecting ballet's heritage with the modern world of luxury activewear.

02
Brand Identity

The brand expression translated the principles of ballet into a contemporary visual language.

Minimal.

Intentional.

Controlled.

Every touchpoint was designed to communicate precision, elegance, and movement—from digital experiences to product storytelling.

03
Launch

The strategy guided how the brand entered the market, creating consistency across early communications, content, and retail materials.

The result was a cohesive brand presence that helped Port de Bras stand apart in an increasingly crowded category.
